The invention discloses a range extender system with variable maximum power and a control method thereof. The range extender system comprises a power battery and a buck-boost module, the power battery is connected with a driving motor through a driving motor controller, the power battery is connected with a generator through a generator controller, the generator is connected with an engine, and the buck-boost module is connected in series between the power battery and the generator controller. The variable buck-boost module is introduced into a range extender high-voltage system, so that the intelligent range extender system has the advantages that: a small range extender is efficient, namely, the power of the range extender system is smaller than or equal to the required power of a driving motor, and a large range extender is provided, namely, the power of the range extender system is larger than or equal to the required power of the driving motor. On the basis of meeting high efficiency and performance of the vehicle, flexible arrangement of a cabin and high-pressure parts of the whole vehicle is realized.

    本发明公开了一种具有可变最大功率的增程器系统及其控制方法,包括动力电池和升降压模块,动力电池通过驱动电机控制器与驱动电机连接,所述动力电池通过发电机控制器与发电机连接,所述发电机与发动机连接,所述升降压模块串联在所述动力电池与所述发电机控制器之间。通过在增程器高压系统中引入可变升降压模块来实现兼有小增程器高效即增程器系统功率小于等于驱动电机需求功率和大增程器即增程器系统功率大于等于驱动电机需求功率性能双重优点的智能增程器系统,在满足车辆高效和性能的基础上,实现了机舱和整车高压部件的灵活布置。
