The vehicle-road cooperative automatic driving method comprises the following steps: when a calculation instruction is received, acquiring self-vehicle information, external environment information of a self-vehicle and information of other vehicles located in a first preset range of the self-vehicle; fusing the own vehicle information, the external environment information and other vehicle information, and generating a collaborative automatic driving instruction according to a fusion result, wherein the collaborative automatic driving instruction comprises a driving control instruction of the own vehicle and driving control instructions of other vehicles; sending driving control instructions of other vehicles to the corresponding vehicles; controlling the vehicle to automatically drive according to the driving control instruction of the vehicle; sending the calculation instruction to the own vehicle when the vehicle-road cooperation data platform selects the own vehicle as the target calculation equipment. According to the vehicle-road cooperative automatic driving method provided by the invention, the system load can be more balanced.
