A motor unit (21) of an in-wheel motor drive device (10) is offset from the axis (O) of a hub wheel. A brake caliper (40) is offset from the axis (O) so as not to overlap the motor unit (21) when viewed in the direction of the axis (O) and is attached and secured by mounting members (44, 45) at two locations separated in the circumferential direction about the axis (O) to a casing that forms the outer shell of the in-wheel motor drive device (10). The mounting members (44, 45) are arranged in partially overlapping relation with the outer circumferential edge of a brake rotor (50) when viewed in the direction of the axis (O).

    轮毂电动机驱动装置(10)的电动机部(21)从轮毂圈的轴线(O)偏离配置,制动钳(40)在沿轴线(O)方向观察时以与电动机部(21)不重叠的方式从轴线(O)偏离配置,且在以轴线(O)为中心沿周向分离的两个部位通过安装构件(44、45)安装固定于构成轮毂电动机驱动装置(10)的外廓的壳体,安装构件(44、45)的一部分在沿轴线(O)方向观察时以与制动盘(50)的外周缘重叠的方式配置。
