The compensation method comprises the following steps that S1, reading the current measured hoisting weight and the height of a hoisting hook; S2, calculating the weight compensation amount of a steel rope; S3, reading the current motion state of the tower crane; S4, judging whether the current process is the hoisting object lifting process or not, and if the current process is not the hoisting object lifting process, going to S6; S5, obtaining the compensated current hoisting weight of the tower crane when the tower crane is in the hoisting object lifting process; S6, whether the current motion is stable lifting motion or not is judged, and if the current motion is not stable lifting motion, going to S8; S7, obtaining the compensated current hoisting weight of the tower crane when the tower crane is in stable lifting motion; S8, judging whether the current motion is stable variable-amplitude motion or not, and if the current motion is not stable variable-amplitude motion, going to S10; S9, the tower crane being in stable variable-amplitude motion currently, and obtaining the compensated current hoisting weight of the tower crane; and S10, returning to S1 to complete a complete cycle. By means of the compensation method, the compensation of hoisting weight detection errors caused by different reasons is achieved.
