A two-way vibration reduction device suitable for an escalator is characterized in that the two-way vibration reduction device comprises a transverse damper and an inclined damper; the transverse damper is connected between a truss of the escalator and a building; the inclined damper is connected between the truss of the escalator and the building; an angle is formed between the length direction of the inclined damper and the length direction of the transverse damper; and when the escalator generates transverse resonance and vertical resonance, the transverse damper and the inclined damper bear vibration and reciprocating shear deformation in the transverse direction and the vertical direction at the same time, and therefore energy is absorbed and dissipated, and then the vibration response of the escalator is attenuated and controlled. The escalator comprises the two-way vibration reduction device.
