The invention provides a polar region icebreaking shipborne mechanism for ocean exploration. The mechanism comprises a ship body, a sliding rail and an icebreaking device. A storage cabin is formed in a deck at the front end of the ship body, a hoisting tower is arranged at the foremost end of the ship body, the sliding rail is fixedly connected to the middle section of the bow of the ship body, and an icebreaking device sliding groove is formed in the sliding rail. Meanwhile, sliding groove teeth are arranged on the inner side of the ice breaking device sliding groove, and an ice breaking device is placed in the storage cabin. The polar region icebreaking shipborne mechanism aims at solving the problems that when entering an iced sea area, a ship is blocked by the ice surface and cannot continue to advance, and the service life of the ship is shortened due to the fact that a ship body is damaged easily through extrusion, impact and other conventional means for icebreaking. And the problem that other non-professional icebreakers accidentally enter the iced sea surface and are difficult to self-rescue is solved.
