The invention discloses a braking device for a coal mine toothed rail vehicle, which is used for braking wheels of the coal mine toothed rail vehicle. The device comprises a fixing frame used for installing a fixed brake and a brake, wherein the brake includes an energy storage device for pre-storing energy, a hydraulic device, a guide structure and a friction device, the energy storage device is connected with the hydraulic device and the guide structure, and the other end of the guide structure is connected with the friction device; and the hydraulic device controls the energy storage device to release accumulated potential energy, and the accumulated potential energy is converted into mechanical energy for pushing a friction device to move towards the wheels through the guide structure to achieve wheel braking. The device can be installed and used in a narrow space, a small boundary dimension and a large braking force can be achieved, meanwhile, the friction plate has adjusting allowance in front of and behind the friction plate, service life is long, and adjustment is easy and convenient.
