The invention provides rail gap detection equipment which comprises a detection vehicle, a detection mechanism is arranged in the detection vehicle, the detection mechanism comprises a vertical cavitywith a downward opening in the detection vehicle, a fan blade cavity with a rightward opening is formed in the inner wall of the left side of the vertical cavity, and a rotating mechanism is arrangedin the detection vehicle; and the rotating mechanism comprises a storage cavity formed in the detection vehicle, the lower side of the storage cavity communicates with the upper side of the conveyingcavity and is provided with a communicating opening, and two connecting shafts are fixedly arranged on the inner wall of the left side of the storage cavity in a front-back symmetrical mode. According to the device, rails are inspected through wind power, when it is found that gaps exist between the rails so that the wind can pass through the gaps, a roof falls, and a movable magnet block can beattracted to the rails, so that a worker is reminded that the rails have defects and need to be maintained in time.
