The invention provides an aircraft capable of vertically taking off and landing. The aircraft comprises an aircraft body and wings, the aircraft body comprises a front aircraft body and a rear aircraft body, the wings are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the front aircraft body, the plane where the two wings are located passes through the axis of the aircraft body and divides the rear aircraft body into an upper aircraft body and a lower aircraft body which are symmetrical, the tail of the front aircraft body is hinged to the head of the upper aircraft body and the head of the loweraircraft body, and the upper aircraft body and the lower aircraft body are connected with a folding mechanism for driving the same to unfold or fold; the tails of the upper aircraft body and the loweraircraft body are each provided with a first propeller and a first steering nozzle, each first steering nozzle is arranged at the tail of the corresponding first propeller and connected with a firstrotating mechanism capable of driving the first steering nozzle to rotate, and the rotating axis of each first steering nozzle is perpendicular to the axis of the corresponding aircraft body; the upper aircraft body and the lower aircraft body are linear when completely unfolded, and the bottoms of the upper aircraft body and the lower aircraft body and the tails of the two wings are located on the same plane. The space occupied by taking off and landing of the aircraft is reduced, and the flight power of the aircraft after vertical rising is increased.
