The invention discloses an insect-simulating hopping robot based on an approximate linear mechanism, and relates to the field of robots. The robot comprises a main machine rack; symmetrically-arrangedsupporting legs are connected with the bottoms of the two sides of the main machine rack; a buffer device is movably connected with the front end of the main machine rack; two symmetrically-arrangedbionic hopping legs are movably connected with the rear end of the main machine rack; the bionic hopping legs are connected with a driving device through springs; and the driving device is arranged inside the main machine rack. The insect-simulating hopping robot based on the approximate linear mechanism has a linear hopping track and is high in controllability.
