The invention provides a system and a method for reducing air inflow during idling of a fuel cell, and the system comprises an air filter, an air compressor, an intercooler, a first throttle valve, asecond throttle valve, a humidifier and an FEMC. The first throttle valve is connected with the air compressor in parallel through a bypass pipe, the output end of the air filter is connected with theinput end of the air compressor. The output end of the air compressor is connected with the input end of the intercooler, the output end of the intercooler is connected with the input end of the humidifier, the output end of the humidifier is connected with the input end of the FEMC, and the output end of the FEMC is connected with the input end of the second throttle valve. A pipeline and a throttle valve are additionally arranged in front of an intercooler and an air compressor. Excessive air is shunted before the intercooler, so that the amount of air flowing through the intercooler is reduced, namely the air flowing through the PEMFC is reduced.
