The small fault detection robot comprises a driving motor, the driving motor operates to be capable of driving a rotating shaft to rotate through a drive wheel and teeth, the rotating shaft rotates to be capable of driving a machine body and a top box to rotate, the machine body and the top box rotate, so that on one hand, the monitoring angles of the top box and a main camera in the top box can be conveniently adjusted, on the other hand, the angle of the machine body can also be adjusted, when the machine body faces some narrow gaps, an auxiliary camera on the machine body can directly face the narrow gaps, when the interiors of the narrow gaps need to bedetected, a telescopic motor is controlled to operate, a rotating frame can rotate through a driving wheel and a first gear or a second gear, the rotating frame rotates to be capable of driving a threaded sleeve to rotate, and the threaded sleeve rotates to drive a lead screw in threaded connection with the interior of the threaded sleeve to move, so that the lead screw gradually retracts or stretches out; and when the lead screw gradually stretches out, the auxiliary camera can be driven to stretch out and gradually probe into the narrow gaps, so that the interiors of the narrow gaps can beconveniently detected.
