The application discloses a speed reducer capable of automatically judging faults. The speed reducer comprises a speed reduction transmission mechanism, a transmission shaft, a transmission bearing, abox body, an automatic fault judging device and a plurality of first sensors, wherein the first sensors are installed on at least one part of the speed reduction transmission mechanism, the transmission shaft, the transmission bearing and the box body, and are used for detecting and uploading sensing signals of corresponding parts of the speed reducer; the automatic fault judging device is use for decomposing, reconstructing and energy calculation on the sensing signals of training samples respectively, energy vectors formed by the calculated signal energy are taken as the training samples tobe input into neural networks of the corresponding signal types for training respectively, and the sensing signals uploaded by the plurality of first sensors, of different speed reducer parts are input into the trained neural networks of the corresponding signal types, and speed reducer components of the faults output by the neural networks and fault type information are obtained. The speed reducer improves the automation and intelligence degree of fault judgment, and optimizes weights and thresholds of the neural networks.
