According to the present invention, a gas engine connected to a supercharger is controlled by predicting the increase of a load before the load on the gas engine actually increases, increasing the rotational speed of the supercharger while inhibiting the increase of supercharging pressure when the predicted load increase degree exceeds a predetermined threshold value, and increasing the supercharging pressure and a fuel injection amount when the increase of the load on the gas engine is detected.
