The invention provides a crane and a crane rope deflecting angle adjusting method, and relates to the technical field of engineering machines. The crane further comprises a rotation mechanism and a drive mechanism. The rotation mechanism is rotationally connected to a bridge around the first axis. A sliding wheel is rotationally connected to the rotation mechanism around the second axis. The second axis is parallel to the axial direction of a winch. The included angle is formed between the first axis and the second axis. The drive mechanism is connected to the rotation mechanism so as to drivethe rotation mechanism to rotate around the first axis, accordingly, the position of the sliding wheel relative to the winch in the axial direction of the winch is adjusted, and the deflecting angleof a rope from the winch is reduced when the rope enters the sliding wheel. The crane rope deflecting angle adjusting method comprises the step that the drive mechanism is controlled to drive the rotation mechanism to rotate, and accordingly the position of the sliding wheel relative to the winch in the axial direction of the winch is adjusted. According to the crane and the crane rope deflectingangle adjusting method, the deflecting angle of the rope from the winch can be reduced when the rope enters the sliding wheel, and the rope is not prone to abrasion.
