The invention discloses a center shaft transmission device of an electric bicycle. The center shaft transmission device comprises a center shaft used for mounting a crank and pedals to bear riding pedaling force; a main crankset which transmits the pedal force to a driving chain wheel of the electric bicycle through a sleeving chain; a motor core which is arranged in a shell together with the center shaft, and is provided with a core shaft which is used for outputting power and is parallel to the center shaft; and an output rotating shaft which is arranged in the shell through a bearing and isparallel to the core shaft. A first transmission gear is connected to the output rotating shaft through a first one-way clutch; the gear is meshed with a core gear fixedly or integrally arranged on the core shaft, the output rotating shaft is further connected with a second transmission gear through a second one-way clutch, the gear is in transmission connection with a third transmission gear fixed to the center shaft through an idle wheel arranged in the shell in a pivoted mode, and the main crankset is fixed to the output rotating shaft. Different from an unconventional design, the main crankset is fixed on the output rotating shaft , so that the device is more compact in overall structure, smaller in size and higher in transmission efficiency.
