The invention discloses an intelligent drive control construction hoist and a control method. The intelligent drive control construction hoist comprises a construction hoist body and an intelligent drive control system. The construction hoist body comprises a hoist lifting cage, lifting cage doors, a landing door and an outer cage. An electric door control system controls opening and closing of the lifting cage doors and the landing door. The intelligent drive control system comprises the electric door control system and an intelligent control system and is used for controlling the construction hoist body to automatically ascend or descend to a specific floor. According to the intelligent drive control construction hoist, variable frequency control is added, the hoist is started and brakedat low speed, is small in impact and reduces abrasion to gears, and the durability of a disk brake is greatly improved; and through an automatic floor stop system, the construction hoist is more intelligent, and errors caused by manual operation are eliminated. The intelligent drive control construction hoist is high in automation degree, does not need to be operated by special personnel, saves agreat deal of manpower and material resources, improves the working efficiency and is safer and reliable.
