The invention discloses a parking space detection and query system. The system comprises a unit induction module which is used for detecting whether a parking space is vacant or not and mainly comprises double infrared inductors, a sub-control center module which is used for controlling and analyzing a multi-unit sensing module set, a main control center module which is used for carrying out information integration and judgment on a multi-bit sub-control center module set, a power supply and communication network which interconnects the unit induction module, the sub-control center module andthe main control center module, and a handheld terminal which is used for displaying whether a parking space is vacant or not.
