The invention discloses an elevator permanent magnet synchronous traction machine testing device. The device comprises three series resistors, an auxiliary motor and a torque sensor, wherein the threeseries resistors are connected in series with leads of a three-phase winding of an elevator permanent magnet synchronous traction machine, an output shaft of the auxiliary motor is coaxially connected to an output shaft of the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine, and the torque sensor is connected between the output shaft of the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine and the output shaft of the auxiliary motor. The leads of the three-phase winding of the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine are connected together in a star connection method, the auxiliary motor is used for driving the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine to rotate at different speeds, the torque sensor is used for detecting torque values generated when the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine rotates at the different speeds, so that a torque-speed curve of the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine can be obtained. Therefore, a designer can select a reasonable seriesresistance value for a star circuit of the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine based on the tested torque-speed curve of the permanent magnet synchronous traction machine, so that the elevator running safety is improved.
