The invention discloses an underwater water quality detection robot, which comprises a main body frame, wherein the main body frame comprises two oppositely arranged end frames and a bottom frame arranged between the two end frames, and the bottom frame is connected with the end frames at two sides through first connecting rods, second connecting rods are arranged on each end frame in pairs; firstpropelling mechanisms which are arranged on the second connecting rods respectively and used for forming driving force in the horizontal direction; second propelling mechanisms which are the same asthe first propelling mechanisms in structure, are arranged on two oppositely-arranged third connecting rods and are used for forming driving force in the vertical direction; a buoy which is at least provided with a first accommodating cavity for accommodating sampled water, is arranged on the first mounting frame and/or the second mounting frame, and comprises a buoy body and end covers positionedat the two ends of the buoy body, wherein first sampling openings communicated with the first accommodating cavity are formed in the end covers; and a power supply used for providing power.
