The invention relates to a wheel disc type particle damping absorber for a rail vehicle. The wheel disc type particle damping absorber comprises disc type shells concentrically arranged on wheels, wherein multiple concentric annular sealing grooves are formed in the disc type shells; and multiple spherical damping particles are filled in the annular sealing grooves. Compared with the prior art, the wheel disc type particle damping absorber fully uses a traditional wheel structure, is provided with the absorber having simple and effective structure on the basis of guaranteeing the wheel rigidity and strength, and has such advantages as low additional mass, low manufacturing cost, good damping effect and high reliability.
