The invention discloses a rotation control system for a crane and belongs to the field of offshore cranes. The rotation control system comprises a motor, a speed reducer and a main hydraulic pump. The speed reducer is installed on an output shaft of the motor. The rotation control system further comprises a two-position four-way reversing valve, a brake control valve set, a manual pump, a first stop valve, a second stop valve, a third stop valve, a fourth stop valve, a seventh stop valve and a spanner. Two oil openings of the seventh stop valve are communicated with an opening A and an opening B of the motor respectively. One end of the spanner is provided with a long force arm. The other end of the spanner is provided with an outer spline. The outer spline is matched with an inner spline hole formed in an input shaft of the speed reducer. According to the rotation control system, by means of the manual pump and the multiple stop valves, the crane can be driven by the manual pump to achieve emergency rotation under the circumstance that a power source of the crane is out of work.
