The invention relates to an elevator added in walking stairs. Six-story buildings and the buildings with less than six stories are not provided with elevators at present, living is inconvenient, and the position for installing the elevator is difficultly made for adding the elevator. According to various schemes for adding the elevator in the walking stairs, a rail turning along the stairs and a traction wirerope often need to be installed on site, and the construction is difficult. According to the invention, the elevator is also added in the original walking stairs. The difference is that a square tube passing through a corridor is used as a matrix, is used for bearing the load of an elevator car, and is used as a rail for enabling the elevator car to lift up and down; the square tube can also push the elevator car to transversely move so that the elevator car can obliquely go up or obliquely go down along stair railings in virtue of rollers; the elevator car can be driven by the rotation of the square tube to do half-circular motion on the ground of the floor or a turning platform, and the square tube is driven by a linear driving mechanism and a circular driving mechanism mounted on the ground and a roof; the warp rail difficult to install and the traction wirerope are not needed, and a motor or other power parts do no need to be mounted in the elevator car. From the design of the structure, the elevator is easy and convenient to manufacture and reliable in operation.
