A collision accident identification method based on an MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems) sensor comprises the following specific steps of establishing an automobile body coordinate system; judging the width of an acceleration energy; calculating energy according to data with sampling frequency of fs and reading time of t; judging the position of a turnover point; calculating a difference between DMEANx(n) and DMEANy(2), namely MEANx(n) and MEANy(n), of a turnover marking signal so as to extract a rising edge and a falling edge of the signal; judging a high-frequency component; decomposing the original signal into a high-frequency component and a margin; and calculating a high-frequency component product. According to the invention, vehicle collisions are automatically identified; a foundation for automatic loss reporting is provided; and meanwhile, the collision accident identification method based on the MEMS sensor can be also used as a basis for an insurance company to identify automobile insurance accidents.
