The invention relates to a low-floor drive axle for a bus. One end of an axle housing is connected with one wheel reduction gear assembly, the other end of the axle housing is connected with a differential mechanism assembly, and the differential mechanism assembly is connected with the other wheel reduction gear assembly. A controller assembly and a hub assembly are connected to the outer sides of the two wheel reduction gear assemblies respectively. Cantilevers are symmetrically arranged at the two sides of a wheel reduction gear shell of each wheel reduction gear assembly. The wheel reduction gear shell of each wheel reduction gear assembly and the two corresponding cantilevers are connected to form a C-type structure. An airbag is arranged in the middle of each cantilever. The front ends of the cantilevers are connected with the lower end of a vibration damper. A V-type propelling rod is connected to the middle of the axle housing. Parallel propelling rods are arranged on the upper portions of the wheel reduction gear shells. According to the low-floor drive axle, the wheel reduction gear shells are arranged at the two ends of the axle housing, the cantilevers are symmetrically installed at the two sides of each wheel reduction gear shell, every two cantilevers and the corresponding wheel reduction gear shell form the C-type bracket structure after being installed, an original bracket is omitted, and the purpose of reducing the height of a floor of the bus is achieved.
