The invention provides a light low floor door type drive axle for a passenger car. The drive axle comprises a main reducer assembly, wheel reducer assemblies, a wheel brake assembly, a C-shaped beam and an axle shell assembly, wherein the main reducer assembly is arranged in the axle shell assembly; the two ends of the axle shell assembly are respectively connected with the wheel reducer assemblies; and the wheel reducer assemblies are connected with the wheel brake assembly and the C-shaped beam.
