This line of sight input device selects an inputted input element by line of sight, and the device is provided with a head-up display device (10) and a line of sight detection device (20). The head-up display device displays an image of the input element in a virtual display area (D) set in a front surface of a driver seat in front of a windshield (W) of a vehicle. The line of sight detection device, which is installed in the front surface of the driver seat, detects fixation points for the driver sitting in the driver seat. The head-up display device displays a plurality of input element images as examples in the display area, and does not display outward portions of the input element images that are displayed at the ends of the display area.
