The invention relates to a tower crane balance arm structure adapting to the stress state and belongs to the technical field of construction machinery. The tower crane balance arm structure comprises a counterweight, a balance arm, an inhaul cable and a lifting mechanism. The counterweight is arranged at the free end of the balance arm. The lifting mechanism is arranged between the counterweight and the lifting point of the inhaul cable and located above a main limb reinforced section of the balance arm. One end of the inhaul cable is hinged to the main limb reinforced section through a pin shaft, and the other end of the inhaul cable and the root of the balance arm are both hinged to a slewing mechanism or a tower head. The cross sectional moment of inertia of a main limb unreinforced section is I1, and the cross sectional moment of inertia of the main limb reinforced section is I2. The formula of the ratio of I1 to I2 is shown in the specification; I1 is the cross sectional moment of inertia of the main limb unreinforced section, I2 is the cross sectional moment of inertia of the main limb reinforced section, H is the height of H-type steel, and t2 is the thickness of a flange plate of the H-type steel. According to the tower crane balance arm structure, the balance arm structure is locally adjusted, the height of the mounting position of the lifting mechanism is increased, and therefore the purpose of improving the stress state of a main limb by adding a few materials of the main limb can be realized.
