The invention discloses an intelligent area protection system and belongs to the technical field of protective systems of machines. In order to achieve the situation that a running machine can only make deserved actions according to special sounds within an alarming range, the following technological measures that a plurality of sound pickers are arranged within the alarming range of the machine or at proper positions beyond the alarming range of the machine and connected with an analog-digital conversion circuit which is connected with a computer; electronic data of vocal prints or vocal print characteristics of multiple sounds are stored in the computer, the electronic data of the vocal prints or the vocal print characteristics are associated with a computer instruction; and the computer is connected with a control circuit of the machine are taken. The measures have the beneficial effects that the computer can calculate the accurate position and the direction of a sound source according to the spatial positions where the sound pickers are specifically installed and the time difference between time when the sounds reach the sound pickers. Only sounds within an alarming area can be recognized and corresponding responses are made due to calculation, and the machine can be intelligent to a certain extent.
