Provided is a control device capable of quickly charging a storage battery, and charging the storage battery with a large quantity of electric power. A control device (1) controls charging from a generator (22) to a storage battery (23). A switch (10) is provided in a first charging channel for the generator (22) to charge the storage battery (23), and a DC-DC convertor (11) is provided in the second charging channel for the generator (22) to charge the storage battery (23). The DC-DC convertor (11) boosts the voltage generated by the generator (22), and applies the boosted voltage to the storage battery (23) through a wire (21). When a charging current value detected by a current detection unit (12) is below a prescribed value when the storage battery (23) is being charged through the first charging channel, a control unit (14) controls the switch (10) and the DC-DC convertor (11) such that the charging of the storage battery (23) is switched to charging through the second charging channel.
