An operating unit (21) calculates the position of an obstacle (4) with respect to a vehicle (3) using a first distance and a second distance. The first distance is a distance to the obstacle (4) measured by a first ultrasound sensor (ultrasound sensor (1a)) having a first microphone (microphone (11a)) at a first timing. The second distance is a distance to the obstacle (4) measured by a second ultrasound sensor (ultrasound sensor (1b)) having a second microphone (microphone (11b)) at a second timing later than the first timing.
