The invention discloses a novel wheel for a transformer substation inspection robot and belongs to the technical field of wheels. The novel wheel comprises a solid car tire (102), a wheel framework (101) and a wheel cover (104), wherein the wheel cover (104) is arranged at the outer side of the solid car tire (102); the wheel is characterized in that the wheel framework (101) is embedded in the solid car tire (102) so as to form a whole body. According to the wheel, the wheel framework (101) is embedded in the solid car tire (102) made of polyurethane to form the whole body, so that the firmness of a wheel body is enhanced, simultaneously the weight of the whole wheel is light, the hardness of the whole wheel is high, and by using the solid structure, the problem of air leakage deformation due to long time running of an inflatable wheel tire is solved; and therefore, the wheel disclosed by the invention is specially suitable for being used for a long time under a high friction environment, and the problems of deformation, sliding and the like can be prevented.
