The invention discloses a method for determining the length of a lane change forbidding line based on test vehicle information. First, traffic data is acquired by a manual counting method or a photography method, and the obtained total traffic volume of each lane is converted into equivalent standard car traffic volume; then, the average queue length behind a stop line at the entrance of each incoming lane at an intersection is calculated according to the information of the lane; and finally, the maximum queue length among the lanes is converted into the vehicle average queue length in meters, and the length of a lane change forbidding line can be obtained by adding the minimum safety distance between queued vehicles on the lane with the largest number of vehicles to the vehicle average queue length. By adopting the method, the situation in which a lane change forbidding line is too short due to queue length averaging can be prevented. The method has a wider range of application, and the result of calculation is more accurate. The situation in which a vehicle is forced to enter a wrong lane due to the fact that the queue is too long is reduced. Resource saving can be maximized and the cost can be reduced on the basis of safety.
