The invention provides a battery voltage control device and a battery voltage control method. A battery voltage control device includes a step-up converter 1600. Avoltage of a high-voltage battery 1500 is stepped up by the step-up converter 1600 and then applied to a driving motor 1800. The battery voltage control device includes further includes a controllers 1200 obtaining and analyzing vehicle outside image information captured by a camera; and a controllers 1400 predicting a future travel state (starting and stopping running state) of a vehicle using the enriomental information obtained from analyzing the vehicle outside image information. In addition, the controller controls voltage boosting of the step-up converter 1600 based on the predicted future travel state.
