The invention provides a light weight bogie for an underground engineering vehicle. The light weight bogie is provided with a frame. The frame is mainly of an H-shaped structure composed of fish-belly-shaped side beams and a fish-belly-shaped transverse beam. The side beams and the transverse beam are made of high-strength alloy steel plates with the thickness smaller than or equal to 12 mm. A spherical center disc is arranged in the middle of the upper end face of the frame, constant contact friction side bearings are arranged on the two sides of the upper end face of the frame, the frame is connected with a rotating arm type shaft box through an elastic joint base, the rotating arm type shaft box is provided with a shock absorber and a shaft box spring, the two ends of a wheel pair are supported inside the rotating arm type shaft box through bearings, the wheel pair is provided with an axle gear box, the frame is provided with a dry type rim lubricator, a pedal face unit brake is arranged on the inner side of the frame, and connector bases connected with a detecting device are arranged at the two ends of the frame. According to the light weight bogie, the weight is not more than 4.5 tons, the rim abrasion can be reduced during running in a small-radius curve, the steel rail outline and line states can be detected, the structure is simple, and maintaining is convenient.
