The invention provides a method for calculating the number of parking spots in a passenger station. The method for calculating the number of the parking spots in the passenger station comprises the following steps that firstly, the number of departing parking spots for departing passenger cars is calculated according to the departing requirements and the departing efficiency of the departing passenger cars; secondly, the number of departing parking spots for passing passenger cars is calculated according to the departing requirements and the departing efficiency of the passing passenger cars; thirdly, the number of all departing parking spots is obtained by adding the number of the departing parking spots for the departing passenger cars and the number of the departing parking spots for the passing passenger cars; fourthly, and the number of all parking spots is obtained through calculation based on calculation of the number of the departing parking spots according to the numerical relationship between the time for passengers to get on passenger cars and the time for passengers to get off the passengers cars. Compared with an existing standard calculation method, the method for calculating the number of the parking spots in the passenger station has the advantages that the method is more reasonable, and the accuracy of calculation of the number of parking spots can be better improved at the passenger transport station planning stage. The situation that resource waste is caused due to the fact that the parking spot utilization rate is low is avoided.
