The invention discloses a mechanical automatic transmission control module of a pure electric vehicle and a gearshift control method. The mechanical automatic transmission control module comprises a BDI (basic driver interface) layer and an ACS (advanced control strategy) layer, wherein the BID layer is connected with the ACS layer through an API (application program interface); the BDI layer is used for initializing hardware, driving each module in a TCU (transmission control unit) and providing an API calling function for the outside; the ACS layer is used for an upper layer control strategy and completion of gear position decision, start and shift functions, and comprises a Sensor module, a Strategy module and an Actuator module. A comprehensive gearshift rule used for the pure electric vehicle and based on load correction is developed for calculation of optimal power performance, an optimal economic gearshift rule and loads of the pure electric vehicle, so that the vehicle is always in optimal gear position and traveling states and the optimal power performance and economy of the vehicle are guaranteed.
