The invention relates to a novel PCCP steel barrel hanger and a PCCP steel barrel hoisting method. The novel PCCP steel barrel hanger comprises a C-shaped elevator, wherein the opening end of the C-shaped elevator is downward and a clamping groove is formed in the opening part; a limiting groove is formed in the left side of the C-shaped elevator; the top surface of the limiting groove is an inclined plane which is inclined from top to bottom; a horizontal plane is arranged between the inclined plane and the left side surface; a limiting block is connected between two side walls of the limiting groove by a pin shaft; the front end of the horizontal plane of the top surface of the limiting block is connected with a tension spring; the other end of the tension spring is connected with the left side surface of the C-shaped elevator; and one end, located in the clamping groove, of the limiting block is provided with a boss matched with a groove of an inserting opening ring of a steel barrel. The hanger has a simple structure; the limiting block is matched with the positioning groove, and the inserting opening end of the inserting opening ring is fixed under the action of the tension spring, so that the hoisting speed of the steel barrel is increased and the quality of the inserting opening ring can be guaranteed; the installation and detachment are convenient; after the hanger is hoisted to a place, a rope is directly pulled so that the hanger is separated from the steel barrel, and the detachment difficulty of the hanger is solved when the steel barrel is vertically arranged; and meanwhile, the aloft work is avoided and the potential safety hazards are reduced.
