The invention discloses a high-power locomotive buffer. The high-power locomotive buffer is provided with a coupler yoke, wherein a front buffer plug, a front cluster plate, an annular spring set, a rear cluster plate and a rear buffer plug are arranged in the coupler yoke in sequence, so that an integrated structure of the buffer is formed, and the annular spring set is formed by sequentially connecting a front cover, a front semicircular spring, an outer annular spring, an inner annular spring, a rear semicircular spring and a rear cover through bolts and nuts. According to the high-power locomotive buffer, a novel buffer device of an annular spring structure is additionally arranged. According to the action principle of buffering of the high-power locomotive buffer, through friction of oblique planes of annular springs, impact kinetic energy is converted into heat energy to be consumed, and thus the buffering function is achieved.
