The invention discloses a reducing damping type safe elevator system which comprises an elevator car body and a buffer assembly. The buffer assembly comprises a buffer component and a reducing damping component; the buffer component is used for preventing the elevator car body from striking the bottom rigidly; the reducing damping component comprises a cylinder body, a damping piston and a piston rod which is fixedly connected with the damping piston, the piston rod and the buffer component are jointed in the stroke that the buffer component is compressed by the elevator car body and rebounded, and reducing damping is formed by the damping piston for the buffer component. According to the reducing damping type safe elevator system, the joint of the reducing damping component is used for restricting the speed of the rebound before the buffer of striking the bottom of a car is finished, due to the fact that the reducing damping component exists, and the buffer stroke and the elasticity coefficient of the buffer component can be increased, so that the buffer can be achieved more gently, quick rebound can be avoided through using reducing damping after the buffer, and the final buffer effect is guaranteed; accidents caused by secondary bounces due to larger elasticity coefficient of a buffer spring or longer compression stroke are avoided.
