The invention discloses a safe elevator system for reducing damping force in a self adaptive way. The safe elevator system comprises an elevator car body and a buffer assembly, wherein the buffer assembly comprises a buffer assembly and a magnetorheological reducing damping assembly, the buffer assembly is fixedly arranged at the bottom of an elevator liftway and is used for preventing the rigid bottom contacting of the elevator lift car body, the magnetorheological reducing damping assembly comprises a magnetorheological damping body and a control system, and the magnetorheological damping body forms reducing damping on the buffer assembly. The safe elevator system has the advantages that before the lift car bottom contacting buffer completion, the reducing damping assembly is engaged to achieve the rebounding speed limiting effect, the gentle rebounding is ensured, parameters of magnetorheological fluid are regulated according to the elevator lift car falling parameters, if the falling speed is high, greater rebounding force can be caused, the electrification current of the magnetorheological fluid is increased and thickened, the reducing damping force is increased, meanwhile, the viscosity of the magnetorheological fluid can be regulated in the damping force reducing process, and the rebounding comfort degree is ensured; the safety accidents caused by secondary rebounding due to too long compression stroke or too great elastic coefficients of the buffer spring are avoided.
