The embodiment of the invention discloses an on-line detection method. The method comprises the steps: detecting an on/off state of a relay; measuring by a current sensor after a battery management system is powered when the relay is in an off state to acquire a null shift value and conveying to the battery management system; supplying the power to the battery when the relay is in a closed state and measuring by the current sensor to acquire a current value, and conveying to the battery management system; acquiring an actual current value after elimination of current null shift faults by using the battery management system according to the received zero shift value and the current value. The embodiment of the invention also discloses an on-line detection circuit. According to the embodiment of the invention, the problem of zero shift of the current value of the battery system in the prior art is solved, and the acquisition accuracy of the current is effectively improved; the device is simple and easy to operate, and the labor force of one-by-one calibration detection of the current sensor is also eliminated under the condition that the cost is not increased.
