The invention discloses a bus utilizing space above a road, and belongs to the technical field of traffic tools. The bus comprises at least one compartment. The two sides of the lower surface of each compartment are each provided with a supporting side plate. The bottom of each supporting side plate is provided with a wheel. A driving space is formed among every two supporting side plates, a chassis of the corresponding compartment and the road. A cab is arranged in the first compartment, and a steering wheel is arranged in the cab and connected with a hydraulic steering system. Each wheel comprises a suspension claw fixedly installed on the corresponding supporting side plate, wherein a stator shaft is fixedly installed on the suspension claw, a stator assembly is fixed to the stator shaft, an inner rotor assembly is arranged around the stator assembly, and a brake is installed between the stator shaft and an outer rotor assembly. The bus is low in cost and convenient to operate and control, does not occupy a current lane, and is widely applied in road traffic.
