The invention provides a vehicle buffer energy absorption direction column which comprises an upper cylinder barrel and a lower cylinder barrel. One end of the lower cylinder barrel extends into the upper cylinder barrel to be installed in a sleeved mode, a steel ball is arranged between the upper cylinder barrel and the lower cylinder barrel in an interference fit mode, is limited in a slide sleeve having the retainer effect and is in interference fit with the upper cylinder barrel and the lower cylinder barrel, the lower end portions of the cylinder barrel form limiting portions with the inner and outer diameters larger than those of the remaining portions through chambering, and the inner and outer diameters of the lower self section of the upper cylinder barrel are correspondingly larger than those of the upper half section. Compared with an existing common vehicle buffer energy absorption direction column structure, the vehicle buffer energy absorption direction column is simple inn structure, constant in washboarding force value, low in manufacturing cost and safe and reliable in use.
