The invention relates to a hoisting method for a huge rolling mill. Disclosed is a method for preventing upright hoisting of a super-huge rolling mill from swinging, which comprises two steps: step 1, calculating a critical distance A between a bottom of a mill housing of a rolling mill and a sliding trolley; and step 2, completing the upright hoisting of the mill housing of the rolling mill. The step 2 comprises the following steps: firstly, laying a row of sleepers on the sliding trolley; secondly, welding a U-steel at the tail of the sliding trolley to prevent the sleepers from moving; thirdly, rotating the mill housing of the rolling mill at an initial rotation point and forming a final rotation point when the mill housing of the rolling mill contacts with the sleepers; and finally, when the mill housing of the rolling mill is hoisted, rotating the mill housing of the rolling mill at the final rotation point, and hoisting the mill housing of the rolling mill till upright at the final rotation point. The mill housing of the rolling mill is hoisted at the final rotation point; when the mill housing of the rolling mill is at a vertical position, the hoisting point of the mill housing of the rolling mill, the gravity center of the mill housing of the rolling mill and the final rotation point locate on a same vertical plane and gravity moment is zero; and the upright hoisting of the mill housing of the rolling mill is stably completed. The method in the invention is low in construction cost and has high security and good stability.
