AbstractThree systemic models of gravitropic response were compared by fitting different experimental data. Results indicate that fits improve with the inclusion of diagravitropic component into formulas that allow to model plagiotropic orientation. More realistic simulation of gravitropic bending along an axial organ does not improve the fit but multiplies the number of parameters and causes correlation among them. However, such a model seems to have more possibilities for further improvement.
