Space vehicle's propellant feed system consists of means to store propellants and to deliver them to engine at proper conditions; interacting subsystems involved are propellant tanks, propellant suction lines, tank pressurization, tank vent and relief, prestart propellant conditioning, tank insulation, when required, tank antivortex and terminal drainage, antislosh, and propellant loading; analytical and experimental data obtained by Marshall Space Flight Center in support of SATURN Space Program illustrate effect of propellant feed system on overall vehicle design.
