Methods and machines used in producing forged steel propellers of naval torpedoes made for U S Navy at Forest Park Naval Ordnance Plant operated by Amertorp Corp, division of Am Can Co; largest of four torpedo sizes produced weighs 17 lb and is machined from 30 lb steel forging; propellers are carefully balanced to minimize vibration when in use.
