Tests on four vehicles compared with predictions from TR-82 (SAE Technical Report, "Truck Ability Prediction Procedure"); analysis of tabulated test data leads to following conclusions: valid separation of air and rolling resistance was not accomplished; effect of wind velocity and direction on air resistance may be significant; chassis friction power appears to be roughly related to engine RPM.
