New method of measuring aerodynamic drag is devised; drag coefficients of trains which were used recently in Japanese National Railroads were obtained through this method; author found that aerodynamic drag was closely related with pressure rise on side surface of train when it rushed into tunnel, and that aerodynamic drag could be obtained from this pressure rise independently of mechanical resistance.
